XpertSea’s mission is to develop technologies that transform aquaculture into a modern, efficient and sustainable source of food for our planet. Through research and development of advanced technologies such as AI and computer vision, we’re increasing the availability of quality food, reducing the environmental impact of food production, and improving profitability across the aquaculture food chain.

Product Designers are skilled user experienced professionals. You will focus on information architecture, user flow design, interaction design, and user research on medium to large-sized projects. You will independently manage your projects, but work closely with our design product lead. You will work with Agile sprint teams championing human-centred design and help shape design practices that work best with Agile Methods.


  • Solve complex problems and drive multiple medium-to-large scale efforts simultaneously.
  • Approach each project with consideration for the larger Xpertsea platform and business model.  
  • Design for our user base with multiple personas and scenarios. Dive into existing user research, metrics and balance with intuition and sensibility.
  • Conceptualize and implement solutions that solve core user challenges, achieve business objectives, and conform to technology capabilities.
  • Create and validate new product prototypes based on user feedback, testing, field experimentation, and research.
  • Design, document and hand-off high-fidelity UI and UX specs to clearly communicate requirements to engineers.
  • Proactively seek feedback and input from those involved in the projects.
  • Stay current on UX best practices, specifically for mobile and emerging markets, and apply your design thinking to other areas of the platform and business.

Minimum qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience designing engaging digital product user experiences.
  • A design portfolio showcasing your work.
  • An understanding of user research methodologies.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Sketch, Figma, InVision, your preferred software).
  • In-depth understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • French & English.

  • Self-motivated and able to work efficiently without close supervision.
