XpertSea is looking for an Embedded Systems Specialist with hands-on expertise in the design,implementation, testing, maintenance and productization of IoT devices. Working with otherdevelopment teams, you will participate in the design and development of totally new hardwaredevices from conception to production. You will design, implement and modify kernel drivers formeasurement devices, and be responsible for their software/hardware integration. You will workwith embedded operating systems to add functionality to different hardware platforms. You willproduce tools to ease and automate production and testing.


  • Design, implement and integrate firmware for our instrumentation line.
  • Select and integrate OEM hardware to our product offering.
  • Work with external hardware and electronics partners to ensure smooth integration of their work.
  • Automate hardware calibration and/or customization efforts.
  • Help with certifications and other necessary qualification tests.

Minimum qualifications

  • BS or technical degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or any other equivalent field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in embedded software, or demonstrated experience.
  • Experience in Linux OS programming, kernel drivers, micro controllers, BSPs configuration,
  • Linux image building, electronics protocol interfacing, basic electronics and firmware debugging.
  • Programming skills in one or more of the following: C/C++, Python, Java.
  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced engineering team

Desirable assets

  • Experience in optics instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with electronics debugging.
  • Experience leveraging cloud platforms like AWS to automate, process and distribute tasks.
